« on: Jun 23, 2004, 04:52:34 PM »
I need to know the measurements for narrowing a ford 9inch to replace the twisted ford 9inch I have now.My truck is a 94 ext cab w/allpro frt spring hanger kit, wheel spacers,83 toy axle.My engine is a 5.7 350.Also any info for a trac bar set up.
I'd rather push a Toyota than drive a Jeep!!!

The 9" has got to be the easiest axle on the face of the earth to narrow!  I narrowed one for a s10 w/a blown sbc last summer.  Basically you just buy the axle ends from summit, cut the flanges off the tube ends and weld the new ones on wherever you want them.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
