Bought this truck a year ago, but had to rewire the whole engine harness, rebuild the front axle, replace the timing chain, and fix all of the oil leaks before I could even drive the thing.

This was my first time offroad, just had 33's and longer shackes, no spring lift.

Then I decided that the truck wasn't tall enough and the front tires would rub occasionally, so I decided to start with a 3" spring lift.

This pic is just with the front springs installed

I was going to go with springs on the rear and do the new hanger job, but that requires moving the front hanger forward 6" and the rear back 2", but the previous owner was hit in the rear, so the frame is all twisted up all the way to the hanger.  I will probably just bob the front of the bed a couple of inches and move the front hanger forward the full 8".

Had to use 3" blocks and move the e-brake cable under the springs

This is how she sits now.  I am going to get rid on the mirrors down low on the door, and make a bracket to weld on the door to hang two mirrors off of, and possibly some running lights.  I'll post more pics when I get there.

Well, got the drivers side mirror brackets welded to the door and the two mirrors hung, but, stupid me forgot to roll the window down before welding, and a little puddle of metal hit the window and shatered it into a couple hundred peices.

Well, its a city truck that I take offroad, and the two mirrors give me a better view than the stock one, one is convex and will give me a good view behind and to the side( freeway blindspot ), while the other is flat and gives a good view of the ground where the tires are (for downtown parking, crawling, etc...)

I work at NAPA, the part number on the bracket is 97721, flat glass mirror is 97619, convex mirror is 97611.

I just have one of those stick on convex mirrors on mine...works great....

Seems to me theres twice as many mirrors to rip off the side..... or maybe you guys dont have trees there? (I've torn countless mirrors off) :dunno:

here watch this and you'll know why I say this!

Time to go wheelin!

Yea, that is true, but the original mirrors stuck out an extra 2" further than these two.  I will have to take a pic of the stock mirror on there also.

It's a great place to go. Some buddies and I are going to try and go there next month if the snow isn't too bad. Maybe we'll see you there??

Here is a pic of the stock mirror hanging out past the new ones.  My fender flares stick out more than they do, and i worry more about ripping my flares off then the mirrors.
