Topic: 39.5" IROKS What Front Locker?

I have an 85 extra cab soon to be on 39.5" iroks, Hydralic assist steering, longfields, just not sure how i want to lock it up front. Has anyone had good luck with the aussie locker and large tires? Should i go detroit or just spool it? The rear will be spooled.

Don't spool it. I would run a lunch box locker, becouse I'm cheap, but a selectable locker may make life a bit easier, with those large meats.

i suggest an e locker, or an arb....a little pricey, but well worth it in the long run, ive been building and wheeling toyotas for the better part of a decade, and have run almost every locker known to toyotas, i will never again run anything BUT a selectable locker in the front. i run a high pinion e locker in my 4runner, and have run 40s on it. just my two

I prefer the ARB over the Locker, they seem to engage quicker.

If you want to be able to turn well you need a selectable in the front.
