Doug Thorley tri-y header
« on: Jan 18, 2008, 10:32:08 AM »
Selling my Doug Thorley tri-y header. This unit is the 542-YO that fit on my 85 toyota 22re. This is CA SMOG LEGAL and has the required EO#.

Thorley's website says the applications are...
1981-1984 TRUCK, 20R/ 22R, 4WD, NO HILUX; 1981-1984 20R/ 22R, 2WD, NO 2WD IN 1980; 1984.5-1987 TRUCK/4RUNNER, 20R/ 22R, 2/4WD, FUEL INJECTED; ALL AVAILABLE WITH AIR INJECTION, ALL WITH O2 SENSOR...
Please double check your application.  :usa:

A local exhaust shop modified the pipe that connects the bottom of the header with the cat. This piece will be included.

I have the center header bolt and copper washer that thorley provided that bolts to the head and used two gaskets for the connection between the header pipe and the cat.

This header was ran for a mere 1000 miles before I removed it.
Located in Walnut Creek/Concord area (norcal)
Asking $160..

Thoses are nice headers, probably the best you can buy next to lc.  Is it ceramic coated?

They are the chrome ones, not ceramic.
What do you have to trade?  I would kinda rather sell, but it depends.

Fearofrunner: thanks for the bump.

cool I didn't realize anyone else on this board lived in Walnut Creek

I want it but I probably shouldn't since I found out I'll be laid off at the end of this month  :o

Stock unit is a manifold, this header replaces the stock manifold
