I only see one every once in a while and they seem to come with the 3.slow.
How many of those were made?
Anyone got pics of a 2 door second gen runner all built up?  Would be sick!

They are interesting looking, but I wouldn't want one... it's all the inconveniences of the two-door first gen without the benefits of the removeable top   ::)

Yes.  Although rare they aren't as desirable as the 4 door.  Only were made in 1990, the first year for that body style in the 4Runner.  The mileage was listed at 18500.  I wonder if that was correct.  They were never made with a 4.0 v6 though.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

There is a thread around here somewhere with a few built 2 doors.

I made a thread a while back about 2 door runners and 2wd runners, I think it is in general. I don't remember if there were any built ones or not, I will have to find it some time.

Yeah I have only ever seen one of those in person but they are out there. like someone else said they would be kind of a PITA because you only have two doors, but no removeable top. cool just for the rarity factor though

Yeah, certainly not. That ad is misinformation unless there was a transplant with to new FJ cruiser 4.0L motor which does not seem to be the case.

Ya I thought that it looked sweet. I'm sure that the 4.0 is a typo. On that site they have a drop down bar for the info if you are posting a vehicle for sale. I'm sure that the guy just clicked on the wrong  __.0, 4 instead of 3.

Still cool though.

I like it.  I like the unusual color.  The body protector in front of the rear wheel is a nice detail, similar to the previous runner.
