I am selling a 1988 4 Runner.  it is in good condition overall but needs some things repaired before it would be a daily driver.  the tranny needs replaced and the valves need adjusted.

being that these need replaced im asking $1000 FIRM, if i dont get any bites i will replaced these item myself and the price will go up accordingly.

It has a clean title and the registration is on NONOP currently.

something like 161k or something.  i still havent checked the valves on the motor, it rattle pretty bad, but i think its repairable without a lot of work.

i had lilbuddy come and take a look at it and he swears up and down its a valve rattle.  i did a 5 min valve adjust on it this afternoon and it got quieter, but its not quiet by any means, also did a 'by ear' timing on it and it had a ton more power than it did when i first drove it.  itll lite em up now, before it would barely get on the trailer in lo range.

also, Kyle, i think he name was came and took a look at it this afternoon.  he said his friend would come and take a more serious look at it later this week, but like i said, the first one with $1000 CASH in hand is the new owner, im not going to hold out for ANYONE!  so, if he wants it he needs to call ASAP tomorrow and come and look at it after work.  im getting 5-6 calls a day on this, i think its going to go fast.

Yeah its pretty clean in and out. The motor sounds a lot like a valve tick NOT anything from the lower end.

Its a good deal in my opinion. The only thing that sucks is the tranny and it makes noise. and does need replaced like he said.

no on the tranny,

the kid was suposed to come and look at it tonight with his dad, but never called or anything.  hopefully another guy from oroville will be down tomorrow to look at it.
