Well I ended up gathing parts and trucks over the last year or so and ended up with 2- 89 Reg Cab 4x4 pickups. One with a V6 and the other 22re. I decided to make the 22re the better one. It actually still runs just has a knock to it. Ive started restoring the red 4cyl. It was in alot worse shape when I got it. Im gonna keep the IFS till spring when more money comes along. Right now with gas so high and getting higher its gonna be a daily driver, and in the spring hopped up altille more for wheeling. But heres what I got so far..

#1
It came with a busted grille and a black bumper, broke pass axle, and torsion bar bolts. Gonna fix me a new skid of somesort. Got the roters turned, good bearings, and new pads. Gotta decide on shocks..

#2
Still got to get another back class (and front) paint the tank, new fuel pump, fix some shackles, shocks, brakes, seals, bumper, towing pkg (off my other toy), wax bed, and some tailights... Or yeah and new exaust and new o2 sensor

#3
Painted the floor with rubber coating, the dash peices was blk and some blue, so I got it all painted black. Redone the door panels with the best ones I had, newer window seals, better window tracks, and put in some poineer 5.5s in the bottom. Put a new parking brake cable on cause the other was broke. All I got to finish is Im redoing the heater cluster and better cables...

Found a tilt steering wheel I might try to install (Im 6"1")
Oh and wireing a cd player, and maybe even put in sat radio :yesnod:

Also painted the frame black with some spray cans, waxed the cab here and there, and polished a set of eagle 15x10s I had laying around. They had some decent buckshot mudders on them. I need 2 new ones for the front. It came with a 3" rigged up body lift. I cut it in half to make 1.5", looks pretty good over the 31"s I think. Might have a 1" of lift with the torsion bars.

Had some crome step rails also I junked, gonna get some sliders later....

I cant wait to start driving er', gotta love a 5spd.. Also cant wait till spring with alittle more cash flow coming in. Looking at some 33" MTR's, SSR's, or the Toyo Mts which I like the best right now. Some gears, lock rite front, and a detroit or quick lock in the rear, O yeah and the SAS w/ maybe 3" of lift.

Looking at a tube bumper with a warn winch. Anyone got any pics of a 3rd gen with a bumper and winch?
Already got a front axle and another ifs rear to build...

also, cooper SSt's are very similar to the toyo's and they should be considerabley cheaper.
