4.7's in crawl box or in rear case?

just got my tcase adapter, and i want to do the 4.7's, but not sure what would be the ideal case to put them in, the crawl box and leave the rear case 2.28, or 2.28 the crawl box and 4.7 in rear case?  let me know what you guys think.  is any advantages to either?

Normally, people put them in the rear case.  If you put them in the front case, it increases the chance the rear input will break, due to the increase in torque it sees.

that makes sense.  i just thought if i left the rear case stock, if anything ever happened, it would be an easy swap.  but i guess there isn't ever anything that can go wrong with a tcase, unless your using trailgear parts or something.

you would be surprised.  you can put the 4.7 in the front, although IIRC, Marlin recommends going to 23 spline in the rear case if you do.  Forgot to mention that earlier.

i think i'll stick with putting the 4.7's in the rear.  i've actually heard of people snapping shafts, i guess that would be due to 4.7's in the crawl box.  i didn't consider the order the torque would have to travel with that set up.  2.23 would be cool, but i guess it would be necessary with the right set up.
