auto to manual swap questions

I have a '91 4runner with the 3.0 and automatic, and I'm going to swap in a manual transmission.  I was just wondering what is the best straight bolt up and the strongest 5-speed I can use (would the "g" or "w" series from a 4 cylinder bolt up to the 3.0 and are they stronger/better than the V6 transmission?).  I just want the best and easiest combo of tranny and t-case that is the strongest and will last so I can start looking around and do it right.  Or would it just be a good idea to find the 3.0 manual tranny and the stock t-case that came with it?  Also, when I take out the automatic is there a separate auto tranny computer other than the engine ECU, or do I just take out the ECU in there now and the manual ECU that came in the V6 manual trucks.  Sorry for all of the confusion, but I know you guys have the right answers and I just want it all to work out.  Also let me know what years would be the best for the tranny and t-cases.  Thank you soooo much!

the BEST combo would be an R151F transmission with a 23 spline gear driven case.  this is what was available on turbo trucks.  if you use a R150F(v6) bellhousing it'll bolt right up.

you can also use the R150F v6 transmission, but you'd either have to run the chain drive transfer case or get an adaptor to run a gear driven case
