I have an IFS box that I am going to use for Hysteer on my '82.  On average how much would it cost to have it drilled and tapped and would it be possible for me to do it?

Another Q:
I have the Marlink on the truck now.  Is the Marlinik the same length as the tierod that comes with the Hysteer kit?  Can I use it and just get the draglink?  Low on $$ but I need to get this done.

my advice is to buy a new ifs steering box that has been drilled and tapped it might be cheaper but i not really sure

i did not do it myself but read many threads on people doing themselves. seems pretty easy, go into the tech section and look and one of the stickies at the top. one of them is for tapping the box. i vote on doing it yourself if you already have the box, i paid way too much for my box

Alright I will try it myself.  The box cost me nothing.  Found it in the back of the '83 parts truck that I bought for $50.

Any opinions about the tierod?
