SB 742 update

I don't know if ya'll already got this or not, but I got this today in my inbox, so I'm sharing.


Dear Ms. Woodman:

Thank you for contacting my office regarding Senate Bill 742, which extends the life of the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle (OHV) program.  I write to inform you that I voted in support of this measure, and it has been signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger.
 
Without the enactment of SB 742, the OHV program would end, closing all State Recreational Vehicle Areas.  Given that off-roading recreation remains a rapidly growing sport, not reauthorizing the OHV program would be a disservice to Californians.  Ultimately, SB 742 is a comprehensive piece of legislation that addresses most of the contentious issues associated with the renewal of the OHV program.
