Adjust your AFM 2 or 3 teeth (I have a webpage on this I can upload if your courious).
Advance your timming just a couple of degrees to be safe and still gain some gas mileage.
Blow out your air filter.
Remove your spark plugs and clean them with a glass beeder, being careful not to get any glass into the plug.
While they are out, add a couple thousandths to the gaps. Maybe try 0.044" or something.
Remove your distributor and inspect the rotor and the inside of the cap for excessive wear.
Make sure your tires are inflated to normal specs (33-35 lbs).
It'll cost a couple bucks, but try this EFI system cleaner and see if you notice any performance gains: http://www.rxp.com/

And last but not least, do this goofy mod that Dave did to his 3VZ-FE: 3VZ-E power/shock hoop clearence

BigMike

BigMike

Yeah I forgot to ask Marlin...

I do know that a NA throttle body will NOT bolt onto a Turbo intake manifold but I am not sure about the ID comparision..

Brian83

couldn't you have the throttle body bored out a few MM for some gains in power?
Common sense just isn't that common anymore

Prismo

There is an aftermarket company that already does that. I seem to remember Downey being the one.

Oh guys my mother took LilSwamper to this mech  :smack:  so he could make sure the plugs were installed right (I had been too busy with work...even though she did it with out telling me) this mech's shop looked rundown...and so did the mech...I dint trust him from the start...(only saw him when I picked LilSwamper up) now "Swamper"'s engine sounds like  :bull crap:  without the bull  he says that its 1 of 2 possibilities...a craked rod....or a faulty engine valve....he said that he would charge me 1300 to fix it if it was a valve...but like I said I dont trust him...I will be taking it to "MY" mech wich I trust and hes a good guy I will keep you guys informed on the situation...he dosent work weekends so monday will proly be that day I take it...Stay Tuned!....Oh I also wanted to know around how much would it cost to swap in a 3.4 or a 350....because If its going to be that expensive to fix my OLD engine I will stop using LilSwamper as my DD and make him an OFFROADING demon I would proly buy One of those exos (formula) and slap it on Swamper's frame well thats all later guys and thanks for suggestions...and stuff  :beerchug:

in the long run that 350 is gunna cost you alot more in drive train parts down the rode than it would caust to rebuild your current motor.

SWAMPER

What about a 3.4 swap then?
