does utah actually use salt?

people say they salt the roads in CA, but the fact is, its been outlawed for a number of years..... they might sand the roads, but not salt them

utah salts the roads during the winter. my dad sold me his 95 2 door yukon, same length as the old blazer but about 4" narrower. i'll get some pics up soon but heres the specs on it.

1995 gmc 2 door yukon
6.5L turbo diesel
auto (heavy duty auto)
3.42 axle gears, unfortunatly 1/2 ton and IFS
gets low-mid 20's for fuel economy, ALOT nicer than the blazer was but not a convertable. some surface rust on the frame and 132,000 miles on it.
265x75x16 at tires on it
nerf bars

1st thing i need to do is replace the PMD, electronic that controls the injection pump. then its upgrade time :woohoo:

i bought this yesterday..
My boss got a red one(shadow 750cc), he doesn't have his motorcycle's liscense, but he drives it anyway.  His excuse is everybody he knows that has a bike doesn't have a liscense and technically everybody that has a moped is supposed to have a liscense too but they don't.  Anyways, nice bike.

Thanks, I took the motorcycle test its a cake walk.

PMD is replaced and new one is relocated to the front bumper and has a heat sink added to it, wont bug me again unless it gets damaged in a wreck.

thinking what approach to do 1st. list:
1. put 285x75x16" tires on it, heavy duty bumpers, swing out spare tire carrier/cargo carrier, locker in the rear, crank the torsion bars.

2. exhuast upgrade to 4", add an intercooler, mild chip, locker in rear

3. SAS, shackle flip in the rear, and 36" tires

so what order should i go in? currently dont have a welding shop to access but do have an auto shop.

those who have wheeled with me know that i carry alot of tools/equipment, always. with the old k5 that was never a problem, almost double the amount of cargo room as compared to the yukon. well, add the sub box and now i have absolutely no room for extra stuff in the back end between the spare tire, subs, tools, equipment, fluids, etc. so, i decided to try out my bedside storage idea that i had for the k5 and apply it to the yukon, but keep the interior panels because they actually look good instead of falling apart and rotten. might trim some more out but for now thats it on that side.

right after i cut

and what was removed

no pictures of the shelves yet although they're mostly complete. 12" long and 6" wide, 9" tall of cargo space down there. looks like i can get the wrenches, screw drivers, pliers/vice grips and maybe a few other things in that spot without removing any more. will hopefully make the cover panel/door next weekend. on the other side since i dont have the stock jack i might do the same thing. current idea is to extend the interior panel out to the width/height of the wheel wells but keep  the tools/equipment inside.
