So I have a set of seats apparently from a Toyota Supra. They are pretty interesting. There is a small compressor under the driver seat. Has a lumbar support with 3 airbags. 1 is on lower back, 1 middle, and 1 upper. Also has some electric adjustments, manual side bolster, manual tip forward, and manual slides. Anyone have any opinions on these seats? Never used them and got them recently. Never even seen a seat with pneumatic adjustments!

I had an 88 Ranger with a drivers seat like that.  it was OK, but I usually left it all the way flat.  I don't like a lump in my lower back, your opinion could differ.

I had seats like that in my truck and I liked the lumbar adjustment especially during long drives...

I have 300zx seats in my truck.  The driver's side has a hand pump air bag in the front, back height adjustment and side bolster adjustment.  I leave the air bag about half filled or so.  It's nice to snug the side bolsters up before I hit the twisties or go off-road, then open them up for normal driving.

I got a set of 86ish Toyota Supra seats in one of my trucks. I liked them while they lasted. The springs in the drivers seat are starting to wear out and I'm begining to sink into it. It has the hand pump to fill the air bags plus three bottoms on the side for releasing the air. I got them used about 6-7 year ago.

I know this thread is old, but I found some MKIII supra seats on Craigslist and am considering them for my '85 truck.  Is there anything I should be looking for when I go look at these?  Also, what mods have to be done to the mounting brackets if any to bolt them up?

I am restoring an '87 MKIII, here is a shot of the front seat mounts.

The front mounts sit almost flat so you will have to cut and bend the mount, possibly extend it or elongate the hole to get the front mounts to line up with the oem bolt holes.

The rear brackets mount flat.

I am not sure if the rear will be a direct bolt in or not, I know the '94(MKIV) seats I put in my '91 X-cab weren't.

I just bought a set yesterday from a guy on craigslist for $100 and it looks like I'll have to bend the front brakets, then cut off the rear brackets and weld them on in a slightly different position.

I had to do the same thing w/the MKIV seats in my '91.  I also had to raise the rears 1.5" to give the seats the same front-to rear angle as the the oem 60/40's.
