Injection swap? Clovis, CA
« on: Nov 24, 2007, 04:33:22 PM »
I'm gonna tear apart my 'Runner, it's an '86 22re, if anybody wants to do a fuel injection swap and needs all the parts to do it with, message me.

I'm thinking $300 for EVERYTHING, (PENDING sale)
-Tank + pump and sending unit
-Harness, dash and firewall if needed
-Throttle body + all injector stuff
-Stock manifold
-Whatever electronics are needed

'Runner is gonna be parted too, minus what I'm taking, so if you need something shoot me a message.

Forgot to add, it's currently running with a spun bearing if somebody needs to hear it.

what kind of shape is the  body and frame in?   I want a runner SO bad
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

Frame and body are both good, was my DD until about a month ago.

Now it has a crunched passenger fender, but pretty much still looks the same.

what all parts are you taking off of it?    and how much would you want for the leftovers?

I'm gonna trip it down pretty far, I think I'm taking:

-Rear end (have an early housing to put in place to keep it a roller)
-IFS box
-Tranny/TC/driveshafts
-Maybe some of the IFS brake pieces

Basically I'm just gonna leave an empty shell with a title (currently reg'd BTW) I'm not sure what it would be worth to anybody. I was planning on using the frame to build an F-Toy, but I think those plans are changing.

im in cali right now....but, my spare tcase, tranny and other parts are in florida.....got a complete forward shift setup ready to go, as well as an 83 rear axle, a spun bearing dont mean much to me. so, it would be a bolt together truck for me........but would probably drive up the street to get a SFA as well.....cuz its only 150 where Im at

Would you trade your EFI stuff and some cash for an axle or do you have one already?

Have a complete '84 shorty, I'm still considering just combining the 2 and building one good rig.
