thats a 2nd gen bed on your 1st gen right how did that work out?? did it just bolt on?

Yup, that bed is from an 85'.  It bolted right up.  The only issue that I see with it is the gap between the cab and bed is not parallel top to bottom.  I'll try to find a pic to show you what I mean.

Sweet truck man, I like it. It looks identical to an 81 my buddy used to have. same color, black hood except it was on 33s. it was an awesome truck but he sold it to fund a Bronco build   :shake:

There is nothing wrong with it, its what he wanted to do. the problem is, now he cant afford the build the bronco because the cost of building a late model Bronco is a lot higher than a 80s toyota. not to mention it kills him on gas. so now he doesnt have anything to wheel

yeah we built a late model bronco at my old work all we really did was take body lift off put new body bushings in. make a rollcage. and seat brackets. it was sick when we were done but it was a sand toy. and he already had like 12k into it it was ridiculous. i'm not dissing on him im just not a ford person

Ive heard they are pretty rough as far as NVH. Have you tried chaining them?

NVH??? i thought about chaining them but i dont like to clutter up my engine bay that much. do you chain both sides down or just the side it torques too?

so when i put in duals i use my already forward shift t-case in the front and get a top shift for the rear right?
and my old L43 transmission has a top shift t-case and i can use that right?
but the L43 t-case is chain driven?
is there anything special i have to do to the t-cases?

damn those rock sliders are bling.

i want bilstiens now haha

"As a side note aftermarket poly bushing motor mounts create a LOT of vibration and is seems that about 50% of these people that buy them for a Daily Driver end up removing them and reinstalling stock ones. The motor mounts that I refer too are ones sold by Rockstomper or LC Engineering which look symiliar to this homemade one [Thanks Chrisf]. Now if they are going on a trail only rig, I hear they work awesome."

and chaining your motormounts wont clutter anything up. its like 3 links on each motor mount
