they are ok, i have run several sets, both the old school ones and the new ones (km)

my experience was they hydroplaned easily, but then again, i am very heavy on the skinny pedal

Theyre great. My brother has them on his jeep and they perform well... Only thing i have ever heard is they dont have as strong of a sidewall but I wouldnt know... My brother has had them like 3 years and they still work.

I dont know where you heard that they dont hold consistent air is weird. My brothers are good and area the same.

They arent noisy.

Theyre a great DD tire. I wish they made a 37/12.50/15 vs a 37/1250/17. He has about 25k on his and theyre about half tread or more.

i will add ,that i too never experienced any issue with them not holding air. tires lose about a pound or 2 a month, but that is normal. never had a problem with any of the onses i have run

they balance out pretty well.

the mud terrains are louder than the all terrains, but i dont think they were that loud at all. my flowmaster 40 or straight pipes have been a lot louder, that and i crnak the stereo, they do have a slight hum to them, but it wouldn't botehr me.

is he going for looks or performance? if its a street truck, i would look into a street tread or an all terrain, for the sake of milage, use, longevity

I love them.  I'm curious to see how the new ones do, but I love the KMs.  I have about 30K on mine, and I've still got about half tread.  I wheel with them, never had any sidewall issues, and they grab great in rocks, sand, and snow.  they do fine in mud the little mud I've been in, but I try to stay out of that, so I haven't run them too much there.

I've never had any issues with them, I have seen them get the sidewalls cut on some stuff that shouldn't have on some of my friends though.
