i just picked up my new cab to replace my 1st gen cab with (cause mine is demolished) i got an 89 x-tra cab to stick on my 81 frame and i was curious if anyone knows much about the cab mounts... obviously this cab is a lil longer than mine and i have not got to do any measuring yet but it appears that the front mounts up at the grille should fit right up and possibly the mounts rite by your feet inside the cab should work and then i will have to move my rear cab mounts back.... does anyone know if indeed these front mounts will fit up to my 1st gen frame? i am also kinda worried about the back of the cab and the frame curving up to clear the rear axle but hopefully i wont have to notch the cab out to clear the frame rails.... please give me any input or info about this you may have.... thanks

befor you notch the cab i would try a 2 inch body lift  or  just  cut  the mounts off the frame  move them  UP  and  to where they need to be  length wise

do you know if the front mounts work? they look like they will be close but i need to measure to be sure.... i would rather notch the cab then run a body lift.... i am anti-body lift..... guess i will just have to see what happens thanks man
