cuting out problem

Me and my girlfriend took my truck to some mud holes and we didn't know to much and I have 2 wheel drive right know.We where going through to fast and it was throwing water and mud all over the engine and know going from a stop it starts to cut out and trys to die.I was wondering if anybody know what I could start doing to find the problem.I wd40 the spark plug and put plenty of wd,and carb cleaner down the carb,and wd my distributer.If anybody have an idea please help thank you

spray wd40  on all your electrical connections

take the distributer cap off  and spray the inside

I'd also hose it off, cover the carb and dist. and hose it good. Make sure you do it with a stone cold engine and once done take the covers off the carb and dist. and fire it up. If you know what you are doing you can skip the covers. Also if you got the air fiter wet it is now junk and could restrict the airflow.

My dad took my carb apart and it was a little peice of dirt screwing up the whole truck
