Can anyone tell me why BFGs are so stinkin expensive.  I keep seing to new bfg mts in mags lately and finally saw the price for the 42s and nearly 700bucks a tires they cost more than 46 claws 47ltbs 54 boggers and every other tire I have seen.....  I thought the new BFGs may be a good alternative to the 42 tsls I just got for my jeep that will be a DD.  But since I can buy two tsls for the price of one bfg I am gonna have to say no way!!!

Probably paying for the name. Plus it is new, and sometimes new stuff costs more on the initial launch, then declines to a better price, especially when the product it replaces was a good selling product.

you talking about the new MT/Krawler? BFG says that they are the most tire out ther now. for watever use, and they are supposed to get lotso miles on em. its BS that they arent made for a 15" rim though. not till next September.

I still think its a load of crap,  I wont buy them untill they become competetive, or guarenteed to last at least twice as long as my swampers.
