now dan you know that welding an IFS ain't gonna fix your low profile problem :)

low profile? i think my rig can be seen from a mile away like my freshman track team pic haha.

got around to pulling out the bad u joint in the rear. broke 2 of my hammers (head came off of one, the other the handle broke), ended up having to use my oxy acetalyne torch to cut it out.

You didn't mess up the the mating surface on the shaft did you? Those suck every time man even with a hydraulic press they don't want to come out and when they do it explodes out of there haha kinda scary.

Ya man me and alan had a blast too thanks for the invite and thanks for the york link also.  Did you ever get your block back yet?

red

ya the caps are still stuck, gonna try to find somebody with a press around here. also need to replace an axle seal in the rear but i cant drain the fluid from the diff yet because the armor around the drain plug has been pushed back into the plug so i cant get a socket on it.

i'll know about the job in a few days, went to the interview yesturday and thought it went pretty well.

Good luck with the job thing!  The only thing worse than having a job is looking for one.  :)

Block is done, but I haven't picked it up yet.  I decided to bore it .020 over because of the scuffs on the jugs.  I have an engnbldr master kit, RV head and 261 cam coming next week, as well as a new crank and rods from another source.  Basically, everything but the oil pan, valve cover, block, main caps and intake manifold are being replaced.  I'm also going to buy a Thorley header and do a 2.25" exhaust with it at some point... Deployment is coming quickly, so I'm not sure if I'll have it in and running before I head out.  We'll see.
