Never Been Snow wheeling but want to go.  What do I need to know?
Do's and don'ts?  Tips and Tricks, What kinda gear should I bring along etc???

I'm thinking GPS, Blankets..the usual stuff.  But what about driving tips things to look out for ?
BTW my setup is 33x10.5 with 5.29's locked front and rear.

i'm new to it as well but here's but what ive been told and it works. start off really slow, your tires are gonna want to burn out really easily and in order to keep traction your tires need to be going slow to start. so long as your tires arent spinning, your in good shape (this is assuming your tires arent bald like my front 2 were haha). momentum is your friend because its slippery. hopefully somebody else will chime in that has more experiance.

that part was scary, other than that though it was great besides having no traction on my front 2 tires. scared me when the front end came up and the drivers side did the same i was sure that i'd gone past the balance point both ways :yikes: . one big word of advice, if your on a steep slope and have to stop then go foreward again, bury your shifter into 1st gear! haha, mine slipped out and caused that mess.

snow isnt that bad you can usually get along. If there is ice below it its slick.  Larger lug tires usually dont do as well as the smaller lug tires in snow.  and yea nice and slow, unless your in the open then its fun to go fast

air down, and when u start to spin stop back up and give it another try. your tires are kinda narrow so air down a lot. i usually bring extra clothes, food and a way to make and keep a fair goin for a little bit.

Should I just try to sell my 33's for some 35x12.5's??
They are like new wonder what I can get for them with rims? Plus I have a spare...

if you find yourself going out of control DO NOT SLAM THE BRAKES!!! that will make things worst...if you have to use the brakes pump them softly until you feel your tires catch again and dont be in a rush. take it easy and slow and youll be fine. know the trial your going on so you dont hit a deep hole and get stuck or drive off the road into unpacked snow...that can make a good day go bad real real fast. digging isnt fun in the snow....brng a shovel just in case though
