The good ol 14 bolt.  Those things are heavy as hell!  Anyways already did the fullsize scene, i like toyota just because of elockers and 1 person can move the axle if needed!

and fullsize axles are like anchors on a yota!! you can make yota axles as strong as fullsize axles with a lot less weight

i wouldnt go as far as saying making them as strong. but ya i wouldnt run a 14bolt. id get a 70U. as far as my toy front, ive bent a housing, broken a pinion in half, sheared all my steering off, blown up two hubs, broken a birf (stock so i guess that doesnt count) but basically everything you can do minus shattering a knuckle or something. the longs were deffinetally a awesome upgrade though.

Not very hard at all. I helped brad (hyena) do his in one weekend. The main thing was the separation between the lower and upper links, then get it as triangulated as possible.

id do a good amount of reading before you just jump into it. to make it right. you have things to think about like trying to get the least amount of roll steer, anti- squat, the seperation between the links, the lengths of the uppers vs lowers. you want the uppers 70-80% of the length of the lowers. theres different variables just read a little bit. i deffinitely dont know as much as i should but when i get to that point when i know i want to, ill be reading hard.

a good book on 4 link geometry/theory would be helpful..many of them are geared (pardon the pun) towards race cars but the idea is the same

I dont think you want a four link with a panhard?  Unless your not doing a true four link....  The panhard bar is there to laterally locate the axle, and a triangulated four link will do that already.  And in the rear you may run into clearance issues with the fuel tank.  If your going to do it to a dd. I would get everything desighned and built, have all the tabs ready and then start early when you get off work and you could easily have it done in a weekend.  At least if you do one end or the other...  I dont remember reading are you talking about linking front or rear or both?

I thought runners ran a three link with a panhard?  Im probably wronge i dont know much about yotas but I remeember a runner build and it had a three link rear, just dont know if it was stock.  Three link with a panhard is even easier, just need to build a pair of ladder bars with a flex joint on frame side and a panhard bar....  Then get your rig on stands at right height and measure lots to make sure everything is straight and weld it up.

Either way im gettin a runner rear axle so the mounts will be there and im just gonna trial and error it.  Im not much on reading, more of a hands on type a guy!

Its usually 2 main bars with a branch to the top of the axle to eliminate rotation.  But if your getting a runner axle, you should try and get the runner links. then it would be real easy to get in there.

but i think youll have to mount that gas tank higher.... or a linked rear, will be tricky.
