Hey guys, Could you all tell me what I could expect to get out of my truck if I were to sell it. I have to make a $1,000 tution payment in a month and if I don't pull something out of my   then I have to sell it. I'm going to try and do everything I can to not sell it but I can't quit going to school. For anyone who doesn't know it's an 83 short bed, 22R, 5 spd., 200,000 miles, runs great, paint is iffy, frame is great, and interior is ok. also if anyone is interested in it let me know. I'm in CO. Sure hope I don't have to sell it, if I do though I'll get another yota as fast as I can.

Maybe you should start "dancing" in your off time?  I see that all the time on springer, chicks put themselves through Harvard that way.

Ok maybe thats a suggestion Brainless would make, but hey didnt I bring the funnay?? :)
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

WT  :slap: you don't just "start" dancing. it takes years of practice to get it right , and to get yourself in shape so some one mite want to "see" you dance. what where you thinking? :slap:

on the other hand if that yota where to get up and start dancing i'd pay big$$$ to see that

does that make me  :stopit:  ???
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

IS about $1,000 fair? I did the clutch this morning so now it drives great. I got an OEM clutch kit for $60, looks like the clutch I pulled out was the one the truck came with! boy I had a great time with the pilot bearing

Just the fact that it is a running driving 4x4 makes it easily worth a grand.  Id say around here I could pull 2-2500 out of it easily.

kyle_22r

seriously, up here in washington any toyota 4x4 that runs is worth a ton for some reason.  i still can't figure out how i snagged my '79 for $650

probably the mindset a lot of people have.  i heard some kid who had the most horrid looking '85 you could imagine talking behind me to his girlfriend at taco bell say "yeah, it's got a straight axle so its worth about 3000$" :hammer:

brainlessfool

well we all know about the washington folks  :screwy:

washington D.C. that is  :hahaha:  :hahaha:

Well hopefully I don't have to sell it. I thought about parting out a few things that I might want to replace. My buddy has a pair of scout II axles(4.56 gears) laying in his garage he said I could have for free along with the steering box, those things are WIDE though. He just bought a tube bender too so now I'm having visions of no bed and a tube frame in back which means I could sell the bed, tailgate, rear bumper, topper, and axles. We'll see though, I just got done with school for the summer so I can go work a lot more now and maybe get a raise.

for a 1,000 that thing would sell so fast over here like white sead in oregon or washington you could easily get 2000-2500 out of it

I picked up a local truck trader this morning and looked at the early 80's toyota pickups, not one of them was below $1750, and ther most expensive one was $4500. I don't know if I could sell it. My pops offered to cover the tution payment but I don't like taking money from him. I might just go sell one of my guns, I hate that too but I can spare one out of about 40. I thik the toyota stays!!

A little off topic but I just found this truck on the PBB, (you guys were right, they don't seem too friendly), I've never seen an early 80's truck with the fenders cut out like this. I like it a lot. Hmmm...ideas brewing. You guys think my 22r would be ok with me running scout axles(4.56 gears), and a marlin 4.7 t case set with 35's?
