It's hard to tell if the shroud is touching the radiator.
sorry for my ignorance, the fan shroud makes contact at the top and bottom tanks and just lightly touches the fins. (the "gasket" thing squished to the tanks and kinda sticks out to just barly reach the fins)

:teeth: Today my dad phoned me from work to tell me that there was an '89 rear axle assembly for sale  with 4.10's and an aussie for $250.  I'm going to look at it on thursday. its apperently been in the third for 2 months, but the guy said the 3rd may need a new crush sleeve (pinion). Hopefully its fairly easy to remove and install in my 3rd (4.30's).

Must do research to make it sure it is in fact an aussie when i go to look at it  :turtle3:

jrock

Nice find, or your dad's find haha. Thanks for the fan info.

sweet hunk of metal, was it hard to install?

SolidAxle

actually, I uninstalled it  :cheese:

I bought it in a 4:10 third that needed a new pinion bearing, not sure wich one and a crush sleeve. My truck being auto has 4.30 gears so i figured i would just swap it out into my 4.30 differential. Based on the uninstall, if you remember to mark where everything goes it should be cake.

On a side note, my engine began to not like to idle. swaped throttle body, runs smooth, now worse idle. so more screwing around tomorrow after school. I also replaced brakelines from the t fitting to the rear (no lspv) and along the axles, replaced a wheel cylinder and unstuck my ebrake in like 5 places lol.

Still having trouble with my motor  going to try swaping the two temp sensors on my intake and make egr block off plates tomorrow.

I.D.G.A.F

sweet, was that motor relatively stock or was it bored over and what not?

SolidAxle

Motor is old block (domed top pistons) its 20 over with comp cams 252s cam, and lce header and efi either than that its stock.

It was all we had at my school, its about the same thickness as the flange on the EGR.

FIN.

And the best part about removing the egr is you get rid of all this  :pokinit:

Duffil

on the diff...why would you pull the aussie out of the carrier instead of just swapping carriers...way easier.

THK Matt

isnt there 3 places you need block off plates? LCE sells the kit and it has 3 plates..

Nope... unless the third plate has something to do with a CA truck.

i think the kit has three cause one is for a Carb'd truck and the other is EFI.

nevermind. :gap:

I took it out of that third because the pinion bearings were in rough shape AND it had 4.10s... I have 4.30s

Thanks for all the compliments.cookies for HO

Went out to my aunts today to steal my 31's back off my dads old truck (black 1st gen runner)  and nded up also stealing coolant sensors, throttle body and air box lid w/afm pics tomorrow, its like midnight where I am. I almost forgot how boss it looks even with just 31's, going to bring them into school and switch the tires onto a set of factory chrome wheels. :bling:

I DROVE IT... on sunday. ITS WORKS AWSOME...like it should.

to make it run right, and make my throttle cable work i swapped in yet another throttle body (off my dads black truck as well as the two coolant temp sensors for the cold start injector.

in progress.

Sorry i don't have any video of it driving. hopefully i can get some up soon, it sounds sweet. so these mall crawler posers of it in my driveway will have to do haha.  :hammer:

OH i had one minor problem also, the distributor bolt came loos and fell out. not a big deal the distributor itself didn't move but oil sprayed all over the drivers side  :willynilly:

AND i got the factory toyota wheels cleaned up with michelins on them for now.
