noob question about third members

ok i got an extra third from a friend so i decided to weld it.... i want to put it in my rear... is all i do is undo the 4 bolts on the inner part of the axle to remove the brake stuff and backing plate... do this on both sides then the shafts should come out with it?

you need to also unbolt the bunch of bolts that bolts bolts the third member into the housing
