thanks, she needs some work. Ima rebuild the motor and reinforce the flatbed because it's still a little wimpy. Here is a pic of the rear...

...plus 2 G's. The black truck was too much of a project for me right now-it didn't have a motor OR drivetrain. I'm stoked on doing a rebuild this winter and having some fun with it next summer after I graduate from college. There are a few little things wrong: axle seals, and the rear light wires seem to be scrambled up. She's a diamond in the rough, but I've had way worse.

I like the way the box is recessed.  I want to do mine somewhat like that.  i want to see if I can put it behind the rear axel

You need to get rid of that flimsy rear bumper too. I still think you should get a rebuilt engine from DOA rather than having Parts for Imports do it but its your choice.

Putting a tool box over ur rear axle is a great idea because of the added weight, but then again it limits the use of ur truckbed because it is more in the way. A friend of mine did it and was happy with the results

update with my truck is I am ready to yank my motor-just waiting for some free time to get er done, and have an engine being delivered on Thursday. wooo!

hell no. Why did wade do that? Maybe he wants to show how secure of a man he is by having a pink engine? If so, the fact that he felt he needed to make that point, shows more insecurity. haha what a strange color to paint an engine. Cheers to ya anyway wade.

the engine is in the local shop being rebuilt and I hope to be on the trails soon. When I pulled er apart I also found a crack in the intake manifold, my clutch is just about worn out, and an exhaust manifold bolt is snapped off.....always more work than expected.

oh baby picking up my engine on tuesday, it's all jet black and polished aluminum sexy lookin with metal timing chain guides and downey super clutch. I'll post some pics of the install when I get around to putting it in...

Jason, BLM is trying to shut down Greenhorn. There are a bunch of pirate 4x4 members and others gathering on December 2nd at 9AM to do a cleanup at Greenhorn. The hope is that if BLM sees we are trying to "user maintain" the area they will be more inclined to keep it open.

Check out my thread on the topic. You should come over on Sunday morning and come down with us. Starr is going to take her truck and I am going to drive my 4runner. Wade is coming too with the Dodge and we are trying to get as many people as possible to come out and clean up. I will call you if you dont read this any time soon.

I know bro, there's a bunch of threads about it on pirate. Ima go down if I can make it for sure. After reading the threads, it doesn't look like there's much we can do about it. We need to all get together and make a plan for regular clean ups, and post signs to designate the camping areas just like the other threads say.
