Winch mounting holes?

Hey does anyone know of a web site that has a printable template too use for drilling the holes for mounting a winch?

I used a ruler for mine, when I mounted it.

i believe the footprints are the same for all winches until you get into the huge ones... its pretty universal.... can you mock up your winch you plan on using? you wouldnt wnat to mount the templete, then drill it all out, to discover your winch will hit your radiator support and needs to be moved, or something like that

You can use some butcher paper, a pencil or pen & a small ballpeen hammer. Tape the paper to the winch covering the mounting holes. The use the pencil & poke the bolt holes out. After you get an idea of were the holes are, you can use a small ballpeen hammer & lightly tap the outer edge of the bolt holes. The ball end of the hammer will cut the paper around the hole. I have had to make gasket before & this is how I do it. Practice on something else so you get a feel for it. Be careful not to damage the threads

allright endend up searching and found the mounting hole specs its 10 by 4 1/2 inches and got them drilled.

What size is you winch & how thick is the winch mounting plate?
