question on cabs

ok well i rolled my 91 4cyl 4wd pickup and im looking for a junkyard cab i founf one thats a 4cyl 5speed cab off of a 2wd and was wondering if it will work. its got dash and wiring harness all in it so if i find out it works ill be getting it

Yes, a 2wd cab is structurally the same as the 4wd.  The 4wd has slightly flared front fenders, the 2wd front fenders are not flared.

Oh, and you have to cut a bigger hole for the transfer case shifter too.  But that is easy, just use the metal thing that holds your 4x4 shifter boots in place as a pattern, trace the hole with a sharpie, and then cut it out.

i have heard that the 2wd cabs tranny tunnel as not as deep as the 4x4 -- i am not sure how accurate this is though... nayone else got input on this?

Just finished swapping a 2wd cab on a 4wd frame / chasis last week.  I didn't notice any clearance problems...

I wanted to make sure that info was correct...  I went out and checked the tranny tunnel and you shouldn't have any clearence issues.

 I don't think Toyota or any other manufacturer would make two different cabs, one for 4wd and one for 2wd.

i just did a swap on a 85, the 4wd fenders are more flarred, and the 2wd steering shafts r shorter. just swap ur steering colum
