I heard somewhere that the ifs trucks came with more height from the factory than the solid axle trucks. Is there any truth to this? Or is there some other reason why bigger tires can fit on stock ifs trucks than stock solid axle trucks with no modification? Maybe torsion bar cranking? I really like the TSL Radials. I would go with the Ground Hawgs, but they cost quite a bit when compared to the TSL Radials. Plus, they are directional tires, which makes rotating them a pain in the butt.

Also do not get traction in reverse in mud or sand.

What about the whole height difference between the SA and IFS trucks? The guy that bought my air conditioning stuff had an 86 toy. We put the tires and wheels from his truck onto mine to see how they would work, and on my truck the rubbed a lot. The trucks were both stock with no modifications... except I had the wider axle plus front spacers on, so the trucks' axle widths were the same... :dunno: Any one know why this occurred?

Also... will my truck be able to drive up the mountains with 33" tires, 4.10 gears, manual tranny, and a old 22RE? I don't want to buy new gears if I don't have to.

UNBREAKABLE

Round tires..I have found these to work the best and ride the smoothest

so it will work, just not the best. On the bright side, I will have a higher top speed. That is, if I can get it going that fast in the first place. I thought about buying some square tires off of ebay. They guy said they work great! He said the edges really grab onto rocks well, plus, if I wait long enough, they will turn into a round tire! I think I will just stick with the round tire design though, they do seem to work quite well.
