Sounds like its time to put out the sprinklers.  Good luck.

I don't miss that crap from when I lived in the mountains, every year I was on the edge of evacuation at some point.

Sure but when you go to sleep tonight the winds will shift and bring right back at you. :willynilly:

dont say that! this valley is known to do that lol. they just mentioned it on the news, fire came within 1 mile of grantsville, town in the same valley that tooele is in. if the winds shift back this way fire fighters say it will take it roughly 12 minutes to hit grantsville, and about 45min-hour to reach tooele (where i am). good thing i'm nocturnal lol. their trenching peoples farm/ranch land west of grantsville to make a barrier, will know how it turns out later tonight should the winds shift. TOO many fires in Utah. we've got fire fighters (nationally) coming from other countries to help out. this sucks!!

I've definitely been it that position Red sitting there watching the fire grow ever slowly closer and closer, my wife burned the tires on her Ranger trying to get though to the house once. Here father disabled and unable to even close up the house was there alone.

well things are looking better, fire is stayin in the mountain range, not trying to come over into the valley (for now).

All of us who live in the west can sympathize with your situation. We're pretty much safe for this year, at least in south east AZ...'cause we've been getting a lot of rain. I hope everything turns out well for you.

well getting a break finally lol. the rain came down pretty good the past 2 days, doused a couple of the fires and put some water into the ground (badly needed). wish some of the rain from my home state (Texas) was comin up here though.
