Well after months of having it sit in the garage, finally got around to getting the cage in. Few things that will be happening to complete the cage. 1) rockers are gonna be cut out and replaced with new rails and the cage will tie into them. 2) the center halo will be getting more toob along with the rear section in the trunk 3) paint :D

I dont care much for appearance :D

nice welds :D

B-pillar mounts welded and bolted, you could only 2 or 3 bolts in through here

rear section

rear plates couldnt even be bolted, its right on top of the shackle mount, impossible to access

welds :D

Here is what i wasnt to happy about, i know pre 97 has glove compartment issues but not 97+ not sure what happened here but ill be trimming the glove so it will open

Here is a outside shot

and one of the front plates that will get tied into the uni-body

Thats all for know :D:D

well the unidoby where the cage is going to connect to is already re-enforced. Ive got a set of frame stiffners on there, With the cage tying into those, its the stiffest the unibody will get.

looks good... those welds are awesome... im sure those welds will hold up even though that one plate is not bolted down... those welds look more than sufficient for them.... of course you cant tell a weld quality by looks..... but.... those welds look just that good.....

Since this thread is back from the dead, might as well update it right? well, we were back at it. Bending tube and welding. Here is what we came up with, went to a buddy house yesterday. 20+ft of DOM, a welder, a bender and all the other fun tools and this is what you get.
Some more support on the main hoop.

Some additional support all the way in the back

Then we came up with this thing. Ive decided to ditch the rigid tire carrier, i wanted the tire inside, nice and low and stout so it doesnt play.

Its gonna be nice to be able to see out the back window again.
