locker from front to rear?

i have a friend with a locker for an IFS front diff. i want to use it on my IFS rear. will it interchange? he is running stock gears, and mine will have 5.71s. thanks

IFS rear :dunno: can you explain your vehicle again? Is this going in a early supra car?

IFS rear? Do you mean the rear axle is the same as found on a IFS equipped Toyota?
If so Toyota uses the 8" rear axle to this day, however the the IFS is a 7.5" ring gear and is not interchangable.

Wow, been looking at my 4Runner rust away too long, need some inspiration and here I will find it...!

85 Toyota 4Runner, solid axle, 22Re, original paint and graphics and not a straight panel to be found!

your truck uses an 8" rear axle.

his truck has a 7.5" IFS front diff

they are NOT compatible

maybe I read it wrong, trhought there was some ? about just what it was and what it was going into.
