The door limiter (I don't know what it's actually called) is broke off.  It looks like it was a clean break!

What can I do to fix this?  Get a new piece that goes into the cab structure and bolt or pop-rivet it in?  Help!?  I've got the slider guts from a donor door.  How has anybody fixed this or done repairs to remedy this problem.  I just need the bracket that goes into the hole you see, or how did you fix yours!  Please post any ideas.  I just don't want the door just wildly flinging around!   :cheese:

i currently don't have those installed, and the hinges stop it from going anywhere.....

just looked at it, you don't have access to it.. except maybe from a few inches above it from the inside of the truck, if you remove the entire dash, or from the bottom of the cab in a very small hole.....

if you decided that you still wnat to have it, looks like a pop rivit will be the best, or nut and bolt.....

it looks spot welded OE and thats probably what caused it to snap off over time

Thanks Jim, but I would like to get something on there, due to we get alot of strong winds around here, and I just don't want the doors slamming around!  The hinges were fubar'd and I got lucky and the spare doors I bought have them!  I'm not anal, but I just want things to work like they are supposed to!

Right now, I'm curious on how others have fixed this problem!
