Pretty close..... It accually stems from the iron rims that the early settlers and pioneers had on their wagon wheels. They didn't offer any traction, thus the "slick rock".
You have a Jeep?  That's cute.... So does Barbi.

Try this again:
Easy:
When was the California Association of 4WD Clubs first established?

Hard:
What is their corporation number?

I wouldn't know either one of those unless I googled it.

They do but I thought that crap was made in the U S.

True, very true, in fact made right here in Arizona. At least they've got that going for them, no Made In China stamp on Pro-Crap.

Close on the year. Officially it was 1959. ;)

Finding the "corporation number" is a little more tricky. The club is incorporated, so the CA Secretary of State, in the Business Portal, lists every corporation.
Here is the link:
http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/corpdata/ShowAllList?QueryCorpNumber=C0384264

Marlin even has a listing:

Not sure, but was Steelbender the Mill Creek trail?
Metalmasher was Arth's Rim trail?
Kane Creek Canyon was Kane Springs Canyon?

No luck with Metalmasher. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
