Glen, that insurance is damn cheap, do you live in a very populated area? Or are you in the sticks of a state that is pretty boonies to begin with? lol
my only vehicle is my 79 but dang man my insurance is 170 a YEAR 36 yo with no accidents/tickets in arkansashow old are you and where are you
Anyways, your truck may get good enough gas mileage now to make up for losing the honda but when you start modding it out more what will happen? I'm not trying to discourage you as I would rather DD a truck over a car but just want you to think about that.
What you need to look at is the true const differential. How much does it cost to run the toyota per month versus the honda? Are you going to save enough money on insurance to offset the higher cost of gas in the truck?
You suck. Haha Just kidding you are lucky. I pay about $3,000 a year for my 85 4runner and 94 accord in California. Im 21 too, which doesnt help. I am a prime example of what a lack of foresight will do to you. I think i only have like 6 more years before they offer to give me any kind of insurance reduction...whoohooYota Tony, i think your final decision should weigh in on how much you drive. I see you live in Ontario, do you live in the city itself?? I live in a small town so I can get by with only driving my yota and gas wont kill me too much. This fall I have to commute an hour (one way) to school 5 days a week and so then my toyota is going to get really uneconomical fast. As it stands I can afford to keep both cars on the road but once the fall semester starts I wont be able to afford both, might have to garage the yota for a few months. So if you dont have to do a ton of driving, get rid of the honda and keep the yota. If you log a lot of miles it might just make sense to keep them both, unless you just cant afford it, then I would say you are in a tough spot. I could never part with my Toyota and the econonomy of my honda makes it hard for me to part with it as well.
DAMN , $3,000 a year!!!!!! i pay about $1,000 a year for my 91 yota DD, 2002 YZ250, 90 Ford Diesel, and 79 VW Rabbit... all with full coverage... damn, i think it's time for you to get a new insurance company.... oh ya, i'm only 22..military_stang
