Dusy-Ershim Open

4WD Club of Fresno went through this weekend and the Hill Hoppers opened Ershim Lake camp ground Saturday.  From the top the first 9 miles are in good shape.  It looks like there should be some good fire wood to scrounge.  Mosquitos are bad as usual so take lots of spray.  That is all.
'71 FJ40, 350 TPI/420, 4.70/mini, 60's/5.38/42's, under construction.
'83 FJ60, SOA underway.  Soon to have a Police 350TBI/700R4/.....

Thanks for the update Tim. I heard there were 13 or 14 rigs up there, great turnout.

I heard that all trails are open except for Swamp.

Wow, that was soon. Surprised Dusy is open and Swamp still isn't.  :dunno:

Hey Mike, I would prefer if you would wait a month or so before running Dusy as my Cruiser will still be out of comission until then. No rescue missions on my Gary Fisher.  :laugh: Been too long since I've pedaled Dusy.  :rivers:

When are the plans for swamp to open?

Swamp is always the last to open due to some north facing slopes that thaw slowly.  I suspect it will be within the next few weekends.

Always???  :confused:  Last year Swamp opened up before Dusy.   I'll assume then last year was an exception.
