Rebulding a 92 yota pickup with 22RE. Tranny had stripped gears on 4th gear input and missing input shaft. Rest of tranny solid. Found a W56A tranny without bell housing. Can I transfer bell housing and transmission case (rear case between center plate and transfer case) from old W56D to newer W56A tranny and use existing forward shift with transfer case? Any problem if I wanted to use steel center plate from W56D with gearing from newer W56A?
Anyone have a clutch fork for this tranny? About the only other thing we're missing (16 yr old high school son's project vehicle)
