WHERE DO I START!!!!

i need help . i just got into the toy scene and i am lost . i have got an 83 long bed. 22r all stock except racing radiator and a flex fan( which i am getting rid of the flex fan). people have been giving me all kinds of different info. i want to run 35's and still be able to move. i know about lc engineering. what can i do? i want to keep the 22r. PLEASE HELP (lift tires engine upgrades body cutting anything)

My buddys 83 has pretty much your same set up but he added a cam from Schnedier and a downey header/glasspacks.It has an awesome lope and he got his 5th gear back . Its not that expensive .

It is not hard at all to fit 35's on that truck with very little lift.  My 81 is living proof of that, all I did was put 81 2 wheel drive rears up front, shorten my draglink, tub the floor and do a little bit of trimming on the fenders.  NO contact with anything but the springs.  I have a bunch of the buildup pics in the projects section under $300.  If ya have any other Q's just ask.

this is all great info i want to say thanks. i am starting tonight to pull my engine tonight and building it with a new cam. someone told me that stroking it would also be a good idea. if anyone has any info on this and what crank to use let me know. i also have gears on the way. please keep the good info coming

I have 5.29's and 35's and if my speedometer is right i got it up to 85 mph.  Really bumpy and noisy.  But gears do help on the road.
