got a 96 grand cherokee for free

heres teh problem

1. starts up
2. drive 4-5 mins and car dies, doesnt matter if on hill, or flat, 5 mph or 500
3. wait 2o seconds
4. car starts back up, runs fine for the rest of the day with no re acuring problems
5. until the next day when steps 1-4 are repeated

any ideas?

I replaced the pump on my ZJ but it eventually totally died on me, there is a CPS that I was told does some of the same sort of symptoms but I'd be afraid that after that 20 seconds one of these times it won't start ;)

BTW the pump isn't cheap!
