Haul Rig
« on: Apr 05, 2004, 11:02:23 AM »
Guys- I'm looking to buy a haul rig so I can beat the hell out of my Yota and not worry about how I'm gonna get home. I have about 4 G's. any suggestions? I was thinking an early 90's F250. Could I tow my Toy with this? Thanks for your help.

i don't think an f250 would have any problems hauling a toy around.  might want to find one with a diesel, better for towing than a gas engine

I know an F150 can tow a toy, but don't know about going up hills.

Ebay + Texas = cheap F350 powerstrokes

I got my 99 4x4 dually powerstroke on there for 15K. It was bone stock and had 97K on it, but a year and a half later and its running better than when I bought it. But that might have something to do with the new intake, chip, and 4" exhaust :D

The early ford diesels suck..Non turbo sled that won't get out of its own way..and with out a turbo the milage is not much better..just blows alot of smoke..

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go with a diesel F250 (if I can find one). I dunno if the 150 will make it from the bay up to the 'Con or Sierra Trek.
