Ya I use it as a last resort most of the time I was wondering what they did myself. I have a stick so mine does not have them.
The book also says there are lights in the instrument cluster for norm and power . My camera battery is dead so I cant take anymore pics now but I will when it is charged.

Do belive the plugs are for cruse control. I have the same plugs and that's the only thing I could figure. Maybe someone here can tell us for sure.

Here is a test for the switch from my 88 repair manual

Here is the plug

Here is the wiring diagram I had to break it up into 4 pictures
Top left corner of page

Top right corner of page

Bottom left of page

Bottom right of page

I also found some tranny shift points in normal or power does not look like a big difference

First half of page

Second half of page

I could not find anything on those yellow plugs but i think they are for the cruise control also

Have a happy Memorial Day  :usa:

The only thing i could think is for cruise control the cruise control actuator mounts to the left inner fender and on 22ret engines there is a vaccum pump also mounted to the inner fender. Do you have cruise control? If you could get pics of the front of each plug then I can look in the manual to see what matches up.

i dont have cruise control but like i said this truck is a mutt, so i am thinking that this is a different harness or it was all taken out... ill check later to see if there are any actuator mounts and ill get a better pic of the plugs....

I think those wires are for when you check the trouble codes.  When or if your check engine light comes on.  You put a test light on to see how many blinks right?  Then count how many blinks to see what the trouble code is.

The placement of those buttons is bad, spill a soda in and they stick forever. I did that once and it took for ever to get them to work right again.
