How does a spool work?  What is the difference between a spool and a locker?  :dunno:    I'm using my "there's no dumb question" pass.

spool connects the two axle shafts.. permanently..

A locker "locks" them but it also releases for corners etc..

 Thanks guys I dint know what a spool was either....well atleast not the details....Yota boy thats why a lot of ppl dont recomend spools for DailyDrivers because the wheels would be turning the same in a corner or something like that right

yeah, spools are harder on shafts and tires if you do a lot of street driving

however there's nothing to unload and blow up if you break a shaft like a detroit though...

Yeah but I dont think that I would  :driving: wheel my rig that hard that a would break a locker :flamer: (at least not yet)

it dont matter if you snap an axle then it can cause the locker to go as well and with a locker its not very hard at all to break an axle

most lockers will take quite a beating. my ez locker died after 5 axles and 4 birfs, two of the axles were rear ones before i got it used from a guy.
