ok, if it comes down to it...maybe 14 or 15 (but ONLY to the marlin board )...but if anybody has a truck 79-83, I will consider a trade with cash  :dunno:.  Ok, get paid at the end of the month and then I will be able to put the ebay link up (since i will finally have enough cash to put it up there  :D)

It would be horrible to part such a CLEAN CLEAN rig like this...

if you do part please let me know though.

What would you be interested in?  I can only part it if I can make enough cashola (so if anyone needs/wants any parts on this truck, PM me and give me an offer for what you want).  Sorry, but that is the only way for me to decide if I should part it or not.  Doesn't make sense to have this rig without axles, engine, transfer case, etc...and only have a "pretty" truck sittin' on blocks  :dunno:.  Just to let everyone know, IF I do part it out, the front third and compressor already have dibs on em'.

If you want someone to list your truck for less, then i'm sure my mom can do it for less... she's an ebay freak. If you want to, PM me.... Oh, by the way.. Sick truck dude!!!!

Yeah man truthfully I would really try ebay. The 100 bucks is a lot of money but considering how nice of a truck you have, and how much blood sweat and tears you must have put into it, I would try and get as much as I could for it. Like others said, on forums like pirate and marlin you arent as likely to fetch what you want for it. There are a lot of folks with a lot of money to burn that only know about ebay, autotrader, ect. I think if you try and part it out you are going to spend months (if not years) trying to part every last piece out. It may take that long just to sell it, but at least you dont have to watch it slowly come apart. It is such a nice truck. Someone will have the money and be willing to pay it, it is just going to take time. At the very least you might have better luck on pirate4x4.com. But i just dont think anyone here is going to want it as a whole....im sure we would tear that thing apart for pieces but i dont think thats what you really want to do with it. Good luck with the sale though, it is a beautiful truck.

yeah, I have kinda given up on actually being able to sell it on the forum  :_oops:.  From now on I guess I will answer any questions and let everybody know when it has finally sold.  MS is goin to help me with puttin' it up, I will put up the link (finally) so that everybody knows what it finally sold for (and if anybody wants to put in a bid...uh...It won't hurt my feelings at all  :eyebrow:)

nobody wants this...or wants to give what it is worth...not even a partial trade or anything.  The motor alone with all the crap on it was 7,400; and nobody has even offered me that...poopie.

negatory...I am in the process of trying to get the box...should be hooked up within' the next 2 weeks or so.  I bought the truck without it hooked up...didn't make any sense to me either.

ok, so I am done with any new posts...if anybody wants to trade with cash or has something of the same value OR just wants to buy it...let me know.  Even if it is months from now...you never know, it might still be in my hands.  If the thread needs to be deleted...go for it, I don't know how  :dunno: :smack:.

no, not yet...trying to see about a trade right now.  Trunion bearings on the toy gave way the other day...sooooo...all I can say is in 1-2 weeks the front axle will be freshly rebuilt; I don't think the guy before me set the load right so I am going to go through the entire truck to make sure everything else is 100%.  Maybe now it will sell...even more new parts   :turtle2:...yeah right.

truck looks great. I would be careful with ebay especially if its your first time. I am an ebay veteran and when I went to sell my truck someone hacked my account sold my truck early and then re listed it 15 times as buy it nows . long story short the truck sold 16 times for less than it was worth it took me two months to get my money back (from insertion fees and closing costs) plus I wasn't able to actually sell my truck until the investigation was complete what a hassle... just wanted to let you know be very careful if you go the ebay route. I will never sell on ebay again!

I've had the for sale sign on the 89 for 2 months now...probably goin' to take it off today because every time somebody wants to know "how much" I say 18K and they seem to kinda laugh.  I guess they think it is just some kids truck that is lifted.  I think I am just goin to start sayin' "nevermind how much it is...have you seen that jeep down the road"?  I figure if they are just goin to laugh at me, might as well help someone else sell their rig.

(edit) apparently it is true...people only check out a rig when it is up top  :dunno:

No offense, but you really are asking at least 1.5 - 2x the street worth of your vehicle...

89toy

No offense taken, but it seems as though everyone thinks it is a fair price...especially when you realize that if you were to build a carbon copy of this truck it would cost around 60-61K.  Seats alone were 3,200 for the set.  This is a great truck for the street or rocks...it gets good mileage...and only has around 7,000 miles on it since it was completed.  I don't think the price is too high, it just takes the right person to afford a rig like this...but it doesn't help that it is single cab  :beerwhack:.  It has a few bugs, but I am taking care of both of them (TPS and trunion bearings).
