« on: May 09, 2007, 08:56:25 AM »
I live in Montrose, Co and there isn't much information for any of the trails in my area.  So here is a place for anthing pertaining to Montrose Area trails.

EDIT: here's a link to the trails I have found:
All pretty extreme trails.

Here are some pictures from May 5, 2007.  It was raining and snowing lightly most of the day.  Making the trial more difficult.

Yeah probably not the best hand placement.  It was a good thing that it didn't roll because nobody in the vehicle was wearing their seatbelts.  And I am sure he was glad he bought rock protection because I think that is what prevented it from rolling.

Once my engine is done getting re-built and I finally get my truck running again I am going to show them how it is done.  Even though my truck is stock except for 31's I bet I could still do this trail when they had 33's(white bronco), 35's(Rubicon), 37's(green bronco)

A new trail in Montrose just opened up a few weeks ago, Boulder Canyon, it is VERY intense, makes the others look silly even!!

Here is a trip report from another board ...

Here is another trip report where they ran a few of the trails, but also ran the new one...

Reminds me of the days we used to take ATVs out on some of the hard core trails around montrose

Found Boulder Canyon.  Really Easy to access. Take Hwy 90 SW out of montrose and follow the signs to the right, right before the big S bend.  The trail appears to be about 1/2 a mile long and is rated 10 out of 10.  Google maps point: 38.425252,-107.995183
