They aren't actually deputies but volunteers.  They help out with traffic controls during accidents and check handicap spots and crap like that. They should learn what those strippy things are in a construction zone!!! :shake:

We've got some people like that working for sac sheriff.  They call the S.T.A.R.S. or something like that.  Bunch of senior citzens running around doing traffic, not knowing what the heck their doing. Near my office we had an SUV turn right on red while a Big Rig was turning left into the same driveway she was a month or so ago, the STARS lady got so confused by all the flashing lights that she wound up causing another accident with her traffic control skills :headshake:

I guess the grass is supposed to be greener on the other side of the fence...I'd lop off a cod to live down in SV or Hereford.
