 I don't understand this undocumented immigration march deal, it doesn't solve anything but does create more animosity towards them. Some of the people at my work are planning on doing this and when they do and someone is waiting longer than usual for their lunch do you think they are gonna be mad at me or will they be mad at those that didn't come to work on Tues? I look at it this way, if I were a customer I wouldn't be mad at the restaurant I be mad at the workers that didn't come to work. Mind you I'm not against having some sort of worker program but I don't think this is the way to get there. Who are they hurting? Me, you, maybe an inconvenience but it ain't gonna bring the U.S. to a halt. This one girl that works for me even went so far as to say that if undocumented aliens were allowed to legally come here and work I'd have to pay them more, but if you think about it I'd be able to pay them less since there'd be a much larger legal pool of people to choose from.

If they really want to send a message to the Fed's I think this is what they should do, on Tues. they should all report to the I.N.S. for deportation, they'd be so overwhelmed that they'd have to act. Could you imagine if all undocumented immigrants did that? It would cost billions of dollars to process them. Or they could make their own government do something about it by showing up at the border to go home, then the Mexican government would be so overwhelmed that they'd have to do something or go broke........ just some crazy thoughts that run through my mind.  :gap:

....and just think of if any of the demonstrations turn into riots, then it makes it even worse for them. Then everyone will want them to all be deported and build that huge wall the Fed's want to put up.

Anyone have any better ideas on what they should do to get legal status?

P.S, this is not a bash the illegals thread, lets try to figure out some better way to get the worker programs.

They are not allowed to work anywhere, but don't be surprised that the guy you work with from Mexico that has his resident card an a S.S. card in his pocket aren't fakes. When hiring someone an employer is supposed to accept all documents as real unless they are obvious fakes.
