My brother has pretty much completed the bumper. It has a 2" receiver and is really basic, with several good mounting points to the frame. still a bolt on/off. I'm thinking about ditching the MC one day to build my own, same with the AP in the rear...I am starting to really appreciate truly custom built stuff, rather than just bolting/welding off the shelf crap onto the truck... :moods:

I just got around to taking pics of my Dad's Samurai. I helped him put in the calmini lift some years ago, it is locked with 32's. It has rescued my 'yota from bottomless goo with it's warn 9,000lbs. winch. We all love this little rig!

TurtleTappers91

I guess If I'm gonna put my brother and dad's rigs on here, I can't leave mom out! :nonono:
Heres her '00 TRD taco, 3.4 L
One of the best trucks Toyota, or anyone else for that matter,  ever made, If you ask me....

well today I made some double shackles for my new chevy springs. The truck has sagging butt sidrome right now, but I'm NOT ROLLIN' ON BLOCKS ANYMORE!!!!!!!!
I still need to test this setup, I think it will do fine, the extra holes in the top shackle may be used as a "locking" mechanism later on if I have any problems with unwanted movement...still need to dial it in maybe?
What I need to do now is go wheeling and test the new springs. I have about 40 miles on them and they are soft even when new. should have great flex now, I will see.....

Here are pictures of our trip to Cow Mountain. It was a blast and everything worked great. I have a little bit of stuff to fix and some bugs to work out in my suspension, but I already can't wait until I can make it back there.....

I also taught him how to put in 5min of hard work and then spend 15min staring and admiring what you have done...

lookin good.
Thanks, I love the look. getting used to the bias ply, its a little different on the road. I can't wait to use them for mudding. Its my first set o' swampers, I've always run BFG m/t or similar, so it was time for something different... :bananasplit:

TurtleTappers91

I finally got a chance to do some body work and paint...  I had RUST attacking my winshield frame, fenders, etc.
I think it looks OK, I took a few pics while I was at it...
not quite done yet with the details...

TurtleTappers91

thanks
It is rust-oleum sail blue. My first rattle can job. I was nervous about not getting a "real" paint job, but this can be re-touched easily, and only cost about $70, including the tape and sand paper... It started raining 12 hours after I painted and has not stopped 'til today, but it dried up OK. :suprised:

TurtleTappers91

I took some pictures while I was driving down a muddy road today. The mud was like penut butter and real slippery...
I made it to the top but I had to use 4wd and front ARB. It was fun

TurtleTappers91

heres one reason to bob the bed or something... :circle:

Ramrod

where do you guys live?  Im in sonoma but I swear ive seen that white truck around. (probably should say Im in SR or petaluma more actually)

TurtleTappers91

we are in Ukiah ...
his truck pretty much stays around here but he makes a run to SR now and then...
I have spotted some other trucks that are very similar and equally clean...

Ramrod

hmm it could have been in ukiah.  I was driving to willits every weekend for like 2 months straight during the fall to deer hunt and stopped in ukiah almost every time for food or gas or wally world
