Hi,

I am new (obviously), I am the somewhat proud owner of a 1980 Toyota pickup. I am currently fumbling through swapping a 22R into the truck (20R is stock). I have kicked around selling this truck several times however after my last failed attempt and with my wifes urging I think I'll be keeping her. I don't think with my current cash flow position that I will be getting the truck ready for trail running any time soon but hopefully I can get her running period so I can get it back to the west coast when I move home later this year. Anywho, I hope I can get the help I currently am in need of (and fear asking for on pirate) and eventually become knowledgable enough to contribute to the board in the future.

Trucks name is Yogurt BTW.

In all her rusty glory (Please ignore the mess). I have a 1983 22R that I am dropping in the truck as we speak, eventually I will be swapping the 20R head but it won't be until my life is a little less fluid. For now I just want the truck running so I can get her out to washington with me. I also have an L52 from the same truck but I don't want to bother with that right now as well, I just want a running truck and I will worry about modification/upgrades later. It is sitting on a set of 31" Dunlop Mud Rovers (I'd like 35s eventually) and other than that is bone stock.

Looks like a good start.   From what I can see of the body it looks clean, Is the rest like that?

Sorry, it was the most complete photo I had. The body is actually pretty hosed, I have a bunch of pics of it here >http://www.flickr.com/photos/14654342@N00/sets/72157600076288657/ one of these days I'll muster the confidence to fix the swiss floor boards but I think I will rivit temporary plates in there for now. The frame however is very clean compared to what I've seen out here.
