Desperatly Need a Knock Sensor
« on: Apr 19, 2007, 03:39:12 PM »
I have a 89 22re and right now I am trying to get the damn thing to smog but its got the check engine light coming on. Jumpered the terminals in the diagnostic port and came up with code 52 Knock Sensor Signal. Pulled the sensor out and checked continuity. Read 37.5 ohms. Chiltons says if there is continuity to replace sensor. Damnit....So anybody got one of these laying around? Got a junk motor in the backyard with one of these on it? Its on pass side of engine block directly underneath the oil filter. great place for a sensor huh? Name your price!
